How to Set Up an eSIM on iPhone and Android (Step by Step)

Before you start

Make sure your phone is eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked. You will need a Wi-Fi connection to download the eSIM profile. Have the QR code from your eSIM provider ready (sent by email after purchase).

How to install an eSIM on iPhone

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
2. Tap Mobile Service (or Cellular in the USA).
3. Tap Add eSIM or Add Mobile Plan.
4. Select Use QR Code and scan the QR code from your provider.
5. Tap Continue and follow the prompts to label your new plan (e.g. "Sweden Trip").
6. Choose whether to use the eSIM for data immediately or only when you arrive at your destination.

On iPhone 14 and later, you can also enter the activation code manually if you cannot scan the QR code.
